The Law Offices of Aaron I. Katsman, P.C. focuses on representing banks and lenders throughout the State of New York and New Jersey for their closing needs on purchases, CEMA as well as straight refinances, reverse mortgages, CO-OP and home equity loans. Over the years, due to the professionalism and integrity of Aaron Katsman and his staff, the law firm gained respect among national and regional lenders. Aaron Katsman has been invited on numerous occasions to present New York real estate training to several large lenders throughout the country. His expertise on the interpretation of the newest RESPA regulations is often sought out and his opinions are solicited.

The firm provides a full array of legal services for our clients ranging from ordering title and pre-closing document preparation to closing, funding and recording of documents. Our attorneys are flexible and our office staff is friendly and patient. We perform closings on short notice and at times and places most convenient to the borrower. Since we recognize the value of customer service, we do all we can to insure that the loan experience is a positive one for the borrower, and each borrower is left with a positive impression of the lending institution.

Currently, our staff includes over 30 attorneys, paralegals and support staff working in the office as well as an additional group of experienced closers that are assigned to conduct closings on a daily basis. We have seasoned pre-closing and post closing departments on staff to insure that all documentation is correctly assembled, executed and forwarded in a timely manner to the lender’s office. Over the past year we have successfully closed over 4,000 mortgage loan transactions.

    Residential purchases and refinances, reverse mortgages, CO-OP purchases and refinances, full closings, witness-only closings, recording of documentation, ordering and clearing title, all document preparation, including Deed of Trust/Mortgages and Riders, Notes, HUD-1 Settlement Statements (RESPA), Consolidation Modification and Extension Agreements (CEMA/MECA), 255 Affidavits, Subordinations, Assignments, Deeds, Power of Attorney and Satisfaction of Mortgages.

  2. Risk Management

    In 2012 the firm implemented a robust computer system upgrade to comply with the new OCC and CFPB requirements. The firm has passed multiple independent third party risk compliance audits and has received several laudatory reviews.   3. Flexibility

    Our office is centrally located; Bronx, Kings, Manhattan, Queens, Suffolk, and Westchester counties are all within a half hour drive of our office in Nassau County. Our closing service enables us to send closers throughout New York and New Jersey to close loans at borrower’s homes or place of work, no additional charge. We have flexible hours for performing closings, from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, as well as weekends upon request, no additional charge.

  4. Customer Service

    We recognize the importance of good customer relations. The product of a borrower’s positive experience is additional business for the lender, whether from the borrower himself or from those he refers to the lender. As a representative of the lender, we seek to insure the borrower’s satisfaction throughout the closing process. We take our time with the borrower explaining the closing procedure and answering any questions he may have regarding the closing. We understand that we may be the lender’s last representatives with whom the borrower works, and this understanding is reflected in the way we treat our clients.

Presently, the Law Offices of Aaron I. Katsman, P.C. represents over 30 national and regional lenders. We have excellent communication with major banking institutions regarding assignments and subordination agreements. We work closely with several title companies regarding title work for the loans.
